Our portfolio spans the value chain including ag biotech, digital infrastructure, alternative protein, novel ingredients, animal health/nutrition and downstream enterprise technology for restaurants and retailers. Examples include Pivot Bio’s microbes that can fix nitrogen, displacing synthetic fertilizer use; Brightseed’s analytics engine that can help create novel food ingredients from plants that improve human health; and Bushel’s leading digital infrastructure that connects growers and grain buyers across North America.

Conti Asia

We have a 40-year track record of supporting efficient agricultural practices in China with livestock feed operations ContiFeed and, via a joint venture with the CP Group of Thailand, CCTI. In addition, we support the growth and expansion of first- and second- generation Asian entrepreneurs that are industrializing and modernizing the food and ag value chain through active minority investments. Our Chinese portfolio includes Yangxiang, a leader in modern animal husbandry, and Gaosai, one of the highest quality husbandry equipment and trucking providers.

Wayne-Sanderson Farms

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is the third largest vertically integrated poultry producer in the U.S., with annual revenue exceeding $7 billion. The company was formed in 2022 through the merger of Wayne Farms and Sanderson Farms and is a joint venture between Conti and Cargill. It owns and operates 20 fresh processing poultry plants, 3 prepared foods plants and stretches from North Carolina to Texas and Louisiana. Wayne-Sanderson Farms employs 26,000 people, services a multitude of national account and distribution customers in the food service and retail sales channels and is headquartered in Oakwood, GA with a significant presence in Laurel, MS.
